Meet the Coach

From Coach Leanne:  

As a professional Fitness Trainer, my passion is to guide people towards a healthier lifestyle. Everybody is unique, with their own strengths and limitations. My method is to build a custom plan based on your health, schedule and more importantly, fitness goals. I aim to transform your body and influence you to make more mindful decisions when it comes to your health. Whether you want to improve your overall fitness, get on that podium, or learn the very complicated ropes of triathlon, I'm here to help.  

Does the program work?  Of course it does.  Stick to your plan and I'll make you stronger, leaner, and faster. 

Coach Leanne is a full time certified multisport coach who has trained under 6x Ironman World Champion Dave Scott, and 5x Kona finisher, Scott Chaney. Her athletic accomplishments include qualifying for the 70.3 World Championships in France and New Zealand, Team USA, All-American Triathlete, All-American Duathlete, All-World Athlete and multiple Ironman.

So, after somewhat hastily signing up for my first Ironman, I had began my "training"...I had workouts planned, I did them, but not with much strategy or forethought. After a month or so, I realized this was not something I could tackle on my own...ended up getting connected with Leanne and the rest is "history", 13 hours and 5 minutes of history! ;) Seriously, she took the time to get to know me, my strengths and my weaknesses, my lifestyle and what I (and my wife and daughters) could stomach as far as training duration goes. She varied my workouts but also gave me the flexibility to adapt them as needed due to work or family commitments. She also ensured we included training events to help me build confidence in my open water swimming, honestly to the point I'd say that my OWS was no longer a distant third place of the 3 disciplines. Leanne was always available to me, she listened when I had a bad training day and she celebrated with me when I had a great event! I did my first 140.6 thanks to the plan and coaching from Leanne, and as of now that's the only 140.6, but you never know what the future holds...and if I do decide to sign up for another, I'll absolutely lean on Leanne to help me get across the finish line smiling!

She is very detailed in her approach, and communicates her methods in a way that is easily understood. I started working with Leanne back in March (2021) and it has been the best decision I have made. If I could give her a 100 stars, I would.  As a formally “fit” person who went to the gym 2x a day in my 20s and early 30s, the last 8 years have been a struggle with weight, motivation, and follow through. I also had a baby at age 37and put myself on the back burner. You name it, I tried it – intermittent fasting, keto, gyms, bootcamps, and personal trainers. Yet, it just never worked – other trainers I’ve worked with also started me on intense workouts and regimens and I would burn out fast.
What’s different about Leanne’s approach is that she comes from “coaching” mindset. She listened to me, designed a program that started me off slow so that I wouldn’t get burnt out – which has built my confidence. If you would have told me back in March that I would love running, I would not have believed it. But now, it has become my self-care. I look forward to our 1:1 sessions each week knowing that I am getting stronger and healthier. My first 5K in almost 10 years is this July and I’m going into it confident and strong. Everyday I see small changes, not only in my athletic abilities, but in the decisions I make to be healthy. I am becoming a better version of myself – and so much of this has been because of Leanne’s coaching.

So, if you have been thinking about investing in a personal trainer or coach, I highly recommend Leann. She really does make people stronger, faster, and leaner!
